Knight Shift Games has announced that they’re bringing their neo retro roguelike Elise to the Switch. No release date was shared for this title, but we learned that Playtonic will be publishing.

Experience a Neo retro roguelike with classic run and gun gameplay, infused with roguelike mechanics and tightly tuned into a bullet hell ballet. Dash, dive and shoot across gorgeous neon-drenched pixel art stages

With each new run, delve into the ever-shifting domains across Planet Ekis’s gorgeous neon-drenched pixelated biomes. Each environment has its own set of challenges with unique enemies to overcome as you learn attack patterns and weaknesses.

For more details on Elise, check out the press release below.

The world of Ekis has been thrown into chaos by unknown forces. The seaside bastion, known as the Sapir Wharf, and home of the Guardians has been attacked by a mysterious robotic army. As the last remaining Guardian of the wharf, Elsie must investigate the cause behind the attacks on her home, and the disappearance of her friends while uncovering the truth of her creation.

Experience the evolution of classic run and gun gameplay tightly tuned into a bullet hell ballet. Dash, dive and shoot across stages full or dynamic enemies whilst performing perfectly timed precision parrying.

Embrace the chaos of continually changing opportunities, making decisions about character upgrades, skills and weapons that will drastically change the feel of each run. Experiment with different playstyles and create synergies for devastating potential.
