For Nintendo fans, Charles Martinet is a household name. The man needs no introduction, as he’s provided the voices for Mario, Luigi, Wario, and others others for decades now. His voice and work is synonymous with the Big N, but in the near future, Martinet will be lending his talents to another big-name franchise.

It’s been announced that Charles Martinet has joined the cast for Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, a Dragon Ball film heading to theaters on August 19th, 2022. Martinet will be taking on the role of Magenta, who is the main character you see in the image above.

Magenta is the president of Red Pharmaceuticals, the current public face of the Red Ribbon Army. He is the one responsible for employing Dr. Hedo to create the twin Androids: Gamma 1 and 2, and is the son of Commander Red.

According to a plot synopsis, Magenta is one of the main antagonists of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. I guess that means we’ll be hearing quite a bit from Martinet in the role!
