Europe's hardware and top 20 software sales for February 2022 revealed

The dust has settled in the game industry for February 2022, and the final numbers for Europe have come in. It was another banner month for Nintendo, with all sorts of reasons to celebrate.

• Pokémon Legends: Arceus was #1 for the month in Germany
• Pokémon Legends: Arceus is the best-selling single format game
• 13.56 million games were sold in European markets, which is 8% up over last Feb.
• the physical market saw 5.9 million games sold (up 11%)
• digital accounted for 7.66 million (up 6%)
• Switch was “comfortably” the #1 console
• overall hardware sales are down 32% over Jan. and down 44% compared to Feb. 2021
• specifically, Switch sales are down 14% compared with the same month in 2021
• Switch sales are up 52% compared to February 2020, which was pre-pandemic
• Switch Joy-Cons were the third best-selling accessory of the month
