The Portal Companion Collection released for Switch yesterday, bringing both Portal 1 and 2 to Nintendo fans. That Collection also marked the first time that Valve’s Source engine made its way to Switch, and modders were quick to jump on that in order to cook up some fun projects of their own.

Just 24 hours after the Portal Companion Collection released, modder OatmealDome has managed to get Half-Life 2 running on Switch. No, it’s not running perfectly, but that’s to be expected after a single day’s worth of work. That said, it is running surprisingly well, as you can see in the video above.

While Nintendo would certainly swoop in and squash this kind of project if it pertained to their own games, Valve will likely not have any issue with this. If anything, let’s hope this shows Valve that Switch owners would love to see Half-Life 2 make its way to Switch officially!
