Minecraft has been no stranger to collaborations with big-name brands, and yet another massive one is on the way. Developer Mojang has announced a tie-in with Nickelodeon Studios that will bring the world of SpongeBob to Minecraft.
The full rundown of specific features for this DLC hasn’t been shared yet, but here’s what we know so far.
- multiple locations from the show, including Bikini Bottom and well-known houses of the characters
- appearances by SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Sandy, Mr. Krabs, Plankton, and Gary
- a story about all characters trying to have the best day ever
- mission involves crafting an instrument for Squidward, who wants to perform at the Oyster Stage
The SpongeBob SquarePants DLC doesn’t have an official release date yet, but more info will be shared in the near future.
