Ray’z Arcade Chronology, a shmup compilation previously announced for Switch, has been given a release date. Japanese fans will have to wait awhile for this one, as the game doesn’t launch in Japan until March 9th, 2023. The standard edition is priced at 7,480 yen, while the special edition sits at 18,480 yen. The special edition includes the “Ray’z Music Live -STRAHL-” special concert Blu-ray disc and two-disc CD set, “Ray’z Orbital Operation” art book, “Ray’z Mission Maneuver Manual” strategy guidebook, five reprint instruction cards, and three reprint leaflets.

As was previously covered, Ray’z Arcade Chronology includes the following titles:

  • RayForce (1994)
  • RayStorm (1996)
  • RayStorm NEO-HD (2023)
  • RayCrisis (1998)
  • RayCrisis HD (2023)

Those who purchase the game via Amazon Japan on Prime Day from July 12th to 13th, 2022 will receive a product code for the previously unreleased title R-GEAR, which was a sequel to RayForce that never finished development. The sequel only saw one stage completed before it was scrapped.
