Monster Hunter Rise hits 10 million sold, Sunbreak reaches 2 million

Capcom has two more reasons to celebrate the Monster Hunter franchise, and they’re both tied to the Switch console-exclusive, Rise.

Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter Rise has now sold 10 million units worldwide. That includes a combined total across Switch and PC. We don’t know what the split is between platforms, but we do know that Rise managed to cross the 9 million sold mark back in May, so the game is definitely still moving quite briskly.

Perhaps even more impressive is the sales figure for Sunbreak, the digital expansion that just launched on June 30th, 2022. Capcom has confirmed that 2 million people worldwide have picked up the DLC, which is quite an achievement for being available less than a full week!
