UPDATE: This has turned out to be fake, as the whole thing was crafted by a team of modders. You can see our original story below.
Just a few weeks back, NieR:Automata The End of YoRHa Edition was announced for Switch. Nintendo fans will finally have a chance to see what this multi-award winning game is all about on Oct. 6th, 2022, and it looks like we’ll be able to dive into a new mystery as well.
It all began when a Redditor uploaded a video showcasing an area in Nier;Automata that no other player had ever seen. That’s pretty crazy considering how deep people have gone in this game to find all its secrets, and they’ve been doing so for the better part of 5 years.
As you can see, the player has stumbled upon some sort of church area that is preceded by a twisting hallway. People have been trying to replicate what happens in the video above, but so far not a single player has had success.
Adding another layer to the mystery is a comment from Yosuke Saito, one of the producers of the game. They responded to a tweet showcasing the secret area by simply saying, “Eternal mystery…” and nothing more. That has only fueled interest in the secret area, and pushed players harder to try and figure out what’s going on.
Will this mystery be solved by the time NieR:Automata The End of YoRHa Edition launches? If not, you can be sure a whole new wave of players will be trying to figure out what’s going on!
