Steam officially added support for the Switch Pro Controller years ago, much to the surprise and delight of Nintendo fans. Now the company has gone a big step forward by adding in support for a bunch of other official Switch controllers.
As of today, Steam now lets you use the Switch Online NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, and SEGA Genesis controllers to play through your Steam library. Obviously some of these controllers will work better than others depending on what you’re playing, but there are certainly thousands of titles available where any one of these options will work just fine.
Grab your Switch Online classic controllers, charge them up, and pick some of your favorite Steam games to test things out!
