NES Works looks back on Cobra Command and Anticipation
Are you familiar with either of these?
Jeremy Parish starts off the latest episode of NES Works by saying that both Cobra Command and Anticipation are two ‘perfectly tolerable games that seemingly no one remembers.’ That’s a pretty funny statement to me personally, as I definitely remember both games, and I owned a copy of Anticipation!
For whatever reason, Anticipation was a big game among my group of friends. I knew a bunch of people that owned the game, and remember playing it quite a lot over the years. As a matter of fact, I dipped back in with friends not that long ago! Even better, it was exactly as much fun as I remembered it being!
As for Cobra Command, it’s a game I certainly remember seeing on both store and rental shelves. I never actually play it, but I somehow know all about it. I must have picked up the details through osmosis over the years. This is making me thing I should carve out some time to give it a go!
