New gameplay/story trailer released for Persona 5 Royal

The prayers of Switch JPRG fans were answered in late June, as Atlus finally confirmed multiple Persona games were on the way. That included Persona 5 Royal, which is set to hit Switch on October 21st, 2022.

While October isn’t too far off, it’s just enough to be frustrating. What are we supposed to do while we wait for October to roll around? Well, making it through today is a bit easier, as a new trailer for Persona 5 Royal has been released. Check out the Japanese video above.

In Persona 5 Royal, the protagonist is forced to transfer to a high school in Tokyo, which leads to a strange dream. “You truly are a prisoner of fate. In the near future, ruin awaits you.” With the goal of “rehabilitation” looming overhead, he must save others from distorted desires by donning the mask of a Phantom Thief.
