Splatoon 3 'Splatfest' World Premiere demo taking place on Aug. 27th, 2022, will feature tri-colored Turf Wars
Rock, paper, or scissors?
Instead of doing a “Global Testfire” as with the first two Splatoon games, Nintendo has announced that they’ll be hosting a Splatfest world premiere for Splatoon 3. It is now available to pre-load via the Nintendo eShop, and an in-game tutorial will be playable starting on August 25th, 2022, with the Splatfest taking place on August 27th from 9:00AM PT until 9:00PM PT as a limited time demo, regardless of whether or not you’ve pre-purchased the full game. As always, a Nintendo Switch Online subscription will be required to play, but a 7-day free trial will be given to everyone that downloads the demo.
Splatfests in Splatoon 3 will now feature two halves, with the first half having teams compete in traditional 4v4 Turf War battles, and the second half being exclusive tri-color Turf War battles, where 3 teams fight simultaneously. “The top team will face a pincer attack from 2 players on the 2nd place team & 2 players on the 3rd place team.” The theme of the Splatfest world premiere is rock, paper, scissors, and you’ll have to pick one of those teams to fight for.

10M agoLet me guess, Splatoon 4 will have quad-coloured Turf Wars. The theme for the Splatfest world premiere will be to choose from hearts, clubs, diamonds or spades. ♥️ ♣️ ♦️ ♠️

10M agoI'm beyond excited about this. Multiple team turf war sounds like a lot of fun, hopefully, we get it as its own mode outside of splatfests.
