Nintendo loves to pay tribute to their previous works. As most of you know, Nintendo created a ton of toys before they ever stepped foot into the world of video games, and Nintendo hasn’t forgotten those early efforts. The latest example of that comes from a sly nod in Splatoon 3.
Spotted during a snippet of yesterday’s Splatoon 3 Direct, a Nintendo Ultra Hand can be seen in the background. It seems that Harmony, the shopkeep for Hotlantis, has a penchant for classic Nintendo toys, as she’s spending some of her downtime playing with the Nintendo Ultra Hand.
Will there be other nods to classic Nintendo products in Splatoon 3? We’ll have to wait until Sept. 9th, 2022 to find out!
