Nintendo has revealed the next game for the Switch Online N64 Collection, and it’s another classic. Switch Online Expansion Pack members will be able to hop on their Switch Aug. 19th, 2022 and enjoy Wave Race 64. If you’re not familiar with the title, you can check out a new trailer for the game above.
Wave Race 64 originally released for the Nintendo 64 back in 1996, and it was praised for its speed, fun gameplay, and at the time, amazing water visuals/physics. While the graphics might not impress as much as they used to, the gameplay still holds up. If you haven’t played this one before, you’re in for a real treat!
Wave Race 64 features nine challenging courses set across scenic locales. Go airborne with dolphins on the golden shores of Sunset Bay, cruise under the bright lights and tall buildings of Twilight City, feel the crashing waves on Sunny Beach or chill out on the frigid waters of Glacier Coast, just to name a few. Plus, racing conditions will change with the weather, making the water choppy or covering the course with fog. The waves will even respond to the way that you and your rivals move!
YES! Besides F-Zero this is another IP I wish they would create a new entry as soon as possible. I don’t know how many hours I played WR64 a day.
I'd like to see them bring it back, too. I enjoyed the Gamecube iteration as well.
Although I liked the Gamecube version as well my heart belongs to the N64 version.
Same as for F-Zero btw :D
