Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai has shared a look at his game collection before, including software and hardware, but now he’s back with even more pictures. This round of photos gives us our best look yet at the consoles Sakurai has on-hand, including a Switch stored in a way Nintendo wouldn’t approve of.

As you can see in the picture above, Sakurai has a Switch nestled into his entertainment center. Rather than making room for the Switch dock on a shelf with more space, Sakurai has decided to put the dock on its side and slot the Switch in. Nintendo definitely doesn’t approve of that use, and I’m sure some higher-ups at Nintendo are quite miffed with Sakurai sharing these pics!

Sakurai stressed that the Switch is doing just fine, even though its docked in a manner not approved by Nintendo. Obviously he’s not recommending all users go this route, but we have a feeling plenty of people out there have been doing the same thing for years.

I was just thinking looking at that image, as you rightly say, that is not a set-up Nintendo would recommend. But now I'm thinking, what harm could it really do?

This makes me wonder: What is Mr. Sakurai's favorite controller? I use a Switch Pro controller, both for my Switch and on PC for a majority of games. Most of that comes down to liking the button layout, but I have to admit I've been tempted to try the new DualSense controller.

The vents on the dock are blocked. And I'm pretty sure it's not very secure in there.
