Akai Katana Shin hits Switch in Japan on Dec. 15th, 2022
A three-game shmup collection
Publisher City Connection and developer CAVE Interactive have announced that the shmup Akai Katana Shin is heading to Switch in Japan on December 15th, 2022. Those outside of Japan interested in playing the title will be happy to know that it includes English, Japanese, French, and Spanish language options.
The standard digital edition of Akai Katana Shin will be priced at 3,410 yen, while the standard retail edition will cost 4,400 yen. There will also be a Special Edition for 6,600 yen, which includes the Akai Katana Daisuke Matsumoto Arrange soundtrack CD and an instruction card-style acrylic panel.
Akai Katana Shin includes the following titles:
- Akai Katana (Akai Katana Origin) – Side-scrolling shoot ’em up originally released in arcades in 2010.
- Akai Katana Shin (Akai Katana Slash) – A new version of Akai Katana with a widescreen aspect ratio and renewed systems.
- Zetsu Akai Katana (Akai Katana Climax) – Based on the systems of Akai Katana, but with balance adjustments.
