Return to Monkey Island to be a part of Gamescom 2022 Opening Night Live, new footage shared

Eager for your next look at Return to Monkey Island? Well, we’ve got some good news! We have a tiny snippet to share today, but a much bigger feature is coming in less than 24 hours!

Devolver Digital has confirmed that Gamescom 2022’s Opening Night Live showcase is going to include a segment for Return to Monkey Island. We don’t have specifics on what will be showcased for the game, but anything about Return to Monkey Island in general is more than enough to get excited about!

Along with that, a new gameplay snippet has been shared today, which gives us a look at the user interface in action. It has a decidedly old-school style to it, which makes perfect sense for this franchise. We also get to hear a bit of the game’s soundtrack alongside the action.
