Wild Arms and Shadow Hearts creators reveal double Kickstarter for spiritual successors, both could see release on a Nintendo platform
Coming to Switch...maybe?
The creators of both Wild Arms and Shadow Hearts have announced plans to launch a double Kickstarter campaign for spiritual successors to those titles. The spiritual successors have been dubbed Armed Fantasia and Penny Blood.
The double Kickstarter campaign for Armed Fantasia: To the End of the Wilderness and Penny Blood will have a shared funding goal of $750,000, which will bring the games to PC, and then there will be stretch goals for other platforms.
Here’s where things get even more interesting. The Kickstarter will apparently also bring both games to Nintendo fans, but we don’t know what platform yet. Apparently, the goal is bring the two games to the ‘newest Nintendo hardware at the time.’ I guess that could mean Switch if Nintendo doesn’t have any new systems by the time these titles are ready to release, but it could also mean the Switch’s successor, whatever that may be.
The Armed Fantasia: To the End of the Wilderness and Penny Blood Kickstarter campaign will launch on Aug. 29th, 2022. You can be notified of the launch by signing up here.
