SEGA has been lugging around a Sonic Frontiers demo to multiple events in the last few weeks. We’ve seen footage from a playable demo at Gamescom, EGX 2022 and other game gatherings, which has led some to believe that SEGA would release the demo publicly at some point. Unfortunately, that’s not going to be the case.

In an interview with ActuGaming, SEGA’s Takashi Iizuka was asked about the potential of a Sonic Frontiers demo being released. Iizuka was quick to shoot down the idea, saying that no such demo would see release. Iizuka then said that those who want to play the game before launch would have an opportunity at TGS 2022, as demo stations for hte game will be set up at the event.

If you can’t make the trip to TGS 2022, hopefully Sonic Frontiers hands-on opportunities will pop up at other events in the near future.

This is looking more grim by the minute.
