Eastasiasoft Fall 2022 Showcase Features 9 Upcoming Switch Titles

Eastasiasoft recently aired a special Fall 2022 showcase to provide details on upcoming games. 13 games in all were featured, and 10 of those are coming to Switch. Some we already knew about, and others were revealed for the first time. You can see a breakdown for each of the Switch titles showcased below.

Wind of Shuriken (Sept. 8th, 2022)

Take the role of a legendary fighter from interstellar samurai squad KR-15, and embark on a mission to free four planets from martial law! In the distant solar system of Infinitium, a clan known only as “Anonymous” has seized control, and it’s your duty to locate an informant to gain valuable intelligence on the organization’s leader. With high mastery of your katana and shuriken, along with the aid of a robot companion, you have all the tools necessary to eliminate this threat before it spreads across the galaxy!

Wind of Shuriken is an intense action platformer that blends old-school gameplay mechanics with high-definition graphics and hand-crafted stages. Employ the skills of both ninja and samurai as you slice through a wide variety of mechanical and organic enemies, dodge bullets, avoid traps and leap through obstacles along your path. Then blast off for side-scrolling shoot’em up sequences in your flight between planets! Take this mission on solo, or team up with a friend to control your robot companion for a cooperative multiplayer experience!

HatUp (Fall 2022)

Take the role of a little purple humanoid as he navigates tricky puzzle stages that change depending on whether he’s wearing his fez-style hat or not! Hatup is a precision platformer with single-screen stages where the objective is to avoid spikes and other traps while collecting keys and toggling platforms on and off. Are you clever enough to escape each level and move on to the next challenge?

Otoko Cross: Pretty Boys Mahjong Solitaire (September 2022)

Saucy reveal mechanics aren’t just for pretty girls anymore. Now the boys are joining the action with the debut of Otoko Cross: Pretty Boys Mahjong Solitaire, a tile-matching game where cute male characters will challenge you to increasingly difficult puzzle layouts and dress up in feminine attire to reward you with every three stages you clear. Butlers become maids, cowboys appear as cowgirls, doctors dress as nurses and more! It’s crossdressing fanservice fun exploring the “otokonoko” subculture of Japan, featuring five original characters to meet and adore.

Every time you play, tiles are shuffled to keep each session unpredictable. On the third stage of each challenge, new outfits will gradually be revealed as you clear away tiles. Succeed, and new images will be added to the Dressing Room mode for casual viewing. Race the clock and combo tile matches for higher scores to climb the global online leaderboards, or for a more relaxed experience, switch to Easy mode to disable the timer and take advantage of hints and shuffle assists. With 60 unique tile layouts and randomized patterns, there’s always a reason to come back for more quality time with these lovely boys!

Super Chicken Jumper (Fall 2022)

The world is in danger. Evil forces from the past have come to destroy our planet and the only individual that Mrs. President trusts to save our lives is a super skilled spy-chicken. Take the role of this feathered secret agent as he defends the free world from doom in a run ‘n’ gun action experience that’s got a little bit of everything, with a touch of chicken and anime girls on top. Traverse 6 unique worlds and shoot your way through tons of enemies until you become a legend.

Run, jump, dodge, destroy and kill anything in your path – those are the basics you’ll need to master to fight the evil that’s rising from Hell. Listen to the advice of the cute anime girls and you should be just fine. Oh, and be mindful of the mushrooms you eat, some of them are quite dangerous! Are you going to let the world be destroyed, or are you a chicken?

Maggie the Magnet (September 14th, 2022)

There’s nothing Maggie loves more than scientific experiments! She’s an animated magnet, capable of turning her magnetic powers on and off whenever she wants. Sensing the potential for scientific discoveries, she opened her own laboratory and now there’s only one key component separating her from having fun and exploring her capabilities. She needs someone to oversee the experiments! Are you up for the task?

Maggie the Magnet is a physics-based puzzle game, in which all the gameplay is centered around a single button. Holding it down enables Maggie’s magnetic powers, thus making her fly in the direction of the magnet point, a metal plate with 4 magnets attached to it. Releasing it allows Maggie to perform all sorts of aerial stunts as she flies over gaps using gravity and built-up momentum. Fling Maggie around the laboratory and experiment with the unique layout of more than 150 challenging levels!

Rule No. 1 (Fall 2022)

Massacre waves of sentient metallic geometry as you attempt to survive the first-person gunslinging challenges of Rule No. 1! In this arena-based FPS with a dash of rogue-lite randomness, your one job is to blast everything in sight while dodging incoming threats. Clear waves of metal menaces and their pixelated minions to keep your spicy female player character from biting the dust!

Featuring a foul-mouthed waifu that’ll tell you off for making her die and respawn too often, Rule No. 1 is fourth wall breaking fun that’s accessible enough to train up newcomers to the genre and intense enough to help veterans hone their skills. Situational awareness is paramount to success, especially as difficulty escalates into bullet hell territory. No run will be the same, making this an experience you can keep coming back to anytime, if the alluring heroine wasn’t already enough for that.

Until the Last Plane (Fall 2022)

This is the story of people who fought in the World War II, brave pilots who soared through the vast skies and the smart engineers who helped them by managing their planes. In Until the Last Plane, you’ve been assigned to the management of an airfield. Spend your military resources wisely, recruit pilots and create the right parts for your planes. When you’re ready, send a squadron out to accomplish the next critical mission!

Gameplay in Until the Last Plane is varied, challenging and customizable. From repairing planes and managing your workshop to dogfights and completing mini games to drop bombs on targets during missions and more, the full cycle of preparation and execution is represented with unique play mechanics. Master them all to keep the war machine running in your favor.

Pretty Girls Escape (Fall 2022)

A new game type is joining the popular Pretty Girls lineup! Pretty Girls Escape is a block puzzler where the objective is to clear blocks of the same color by moving them left or right. As you match and connect, lines will disappear and allow character blocks stacked on top to drop further down the screen. Get the character blocks to the exit at the bottom of the stack, and you win!

As you progress, new outfits will be revealed and unlocked for your female companions, which can then be viewed in Dressing Room mode or even used to create your own dioramas with the girls you meet. Are you clever enough to rescue all the girls?

Bot Gaiden (Fall 2022)

Not for the faint of heart, Bot Gaiden is all action, execution and speed! Ninja robots Robyu and Bytron race to recover the power skulls that have been stolen by each of Giorqio’s 6 Hench-bots. Slicing everything in their path, they must reach their destination quickly. The Hench-bots grow stronger with time and exposure to the skulls. The faster you go, the easier the fight! However, going faster means putting yourself in harm’s way and trying to figure out the most efficient path through each stage.

Bot Gaiden is designed to be a shared experience, no matter what the skill mismatch might be. Got a child that’s just learning? Team up. Got a buddy that just stinks at action games? Bring ‘em on! You can teleport to your partner at any time. Lagging players can instantly catch up, and experienced players can lend a helping hand, instantly.
