Splatoon 3's Recon function and Shell-Out Machine detailed

We’re inching ever closer to the launch of Splatoon 3, which drops on September 9th, 2022. Nintendo is trying to squeeze in every bit of info they can prior to the game’s release, and today brings us some insight into the recon function and the Shell-Out Machine.

Thanks to the recon function, you can visit any stage at any time just to walk around and explore. This is a great way to survey your surroundings and get a feel for an area before you have to dive in for battle. Knowing the terrain and challenges ahead can make a big difference once a match starts!
