SEGA started sharing music samples from Sonic Frontiers last week, and we’ve already gotten to hear the ending theme and the main theme. Today SEGA brings us yet another track, and you can check it out above.

Today’s tune is the theme of Starfall Islands, one of the locations you’ll visit in Sonic Frontiers. The Starfall Islands are a group of five islands that house a myriad of set pieces across their unique biomes, including dense forests, expansive grass fields, towering mountains, overflowing waterfalls, sizzling deserts, coastal beaches, and ancient monuments and gardens.

Many people have said they see direct influence from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in Sonic Frontiers, and I can certainly see where they’re coming from. I think those similarities once again show themselves in the Starfall Islands theme, and I don’t mean that in a bad way at all. Quite the opposite, actually, as this is one of the most moving pieces I’ve heard in a Sonic game in years!
