If you’ve been following the Nintendo Direct rumors, you know that at one point last week, there were rumblings of the then-rumored Nintendo Direct being delayed due to the Queen’s passing. Some scoffed at that idea, but it does seem there was a sliver of truth in that discussion.

Nintendo UK has taken to Twitter to announce that they won’t be airing tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct live due to a time of national mourning. Instead, Nintendo UK will share the Direct as an archived presentation after the live-stream ends. You can see Nintendo UK’s full comments on the situation below.

As a mark of respect during this period of national mourning, we will not livestream tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct. It will be published as a video-on-demand on our YouTube channel at 16:00 (UK time) tomorrow.

Some gesture, not "live" streaming a prerecorded video and instead putting it up 20 minutes after it ends in other regions. Hollow nonsense!
