THQ Nordic confirms Risen for Switch

Back in August, we had a hint that the 2009 title Risen would be coming to Switch, thanks to a listing by the German Entertainment Software Self-Regulation Body (USK). That listing named THQ Nordic as the publisher, and over a month later, THQ Nordic has finally confirmed the news. Risen is indeed heading to Switch, and as of today, the game has passed lotcheck.

Risen takes place in a gritty, raw and atmospheric fantasy world in which every action has a consequence. In the epic world of Risen, filled with mysterious earthquakes, fearsome monsters and unimaginable treasures, forge your path with the sword, learn the art of staff fighting or become a powerful mage.

While we don’t have a release date for Risen yet, the fact that the game passed lotcheck should indicate that it’s releasing quite soon. We’ll keep an eye out for an official release date.
