Divine Dynasties Face-off in the SMITE Battle Pass: Houses at War

Today marks the release of the latest major content update for SMITE, named after its new Battle Pass.

SMITE’s new Battle Pass: Houses at War features a world where royal houses are divided against each other in a struggle for supremacy. Each house represents a lineage that traces back to a mythic animal patron. For more information on the pass, visit its dedicated web page.

House Dragon, led by Yu Huang, sees cruelty as a necessary tool in maintaining the order of nature. Needless to add that as the apex of all predators, dragons intend to stay at the top. House Dragon Yu Huang is his first-ever skin and is unlocked instantly upon purchasing the Battle Pass.

Simply by playing matches, everyone progresses and gains access to dozens of rewards, including some for free such as the House Jackal skin for Anubis. Purchasing the Battle Pass: Houses at War grants access to all its content, including House Phoenix Amaterasu. The ultimate reward is House Unicorn Chang’e, aided by an adorable armored battle bunny that fetches her items.

New Conquest Map

Today’s update also brings the Polynesian-themed Volcanic Chaos Conquest map, the third and final refresh in Season 9. Since 2021, SMITE has been releasing seasonal map updates for its most strategic mode, Conquest.

The Volcanic Chaos map features a tropical beach and the corresponding flora. While the Fire Giant’s lair is always a hot spot, it has never been this scorching: the ultimate Jungle Boss is now living in an active volcano.

The Polynesian-themed Obelisk is thirsting for all-new offerings: CRABS! Filling the Obelisk with Crabs rewards the entire team with a powerful trebuchet that takes down structures.

A variety of targeted gameplay changes complement those visual updates and freshen up the fights. Deities beware: such an explosive display may soon draw the attention of a new God…

Referral Event with Free Rewards

Yet another incentive to jump back into the Battlegrounds of the Gods, a one-off Refer-a-Friend event is happening in SMITE for a limited time. Full details can be found in this blog post.

SMITE is extending an informal invitation for all aspiring deities to join the action with the guidance of an experienced friend. From September 13 to 27, when a veteran and a new or returning player party up and play, both are rewarded with a Favor Booster after 5 matches, a ‘Pick Your Own BP Cosmetic’ Chest after 10, and a ‘Pick Your Own BP Skin’ Chest after 15 matches. The latter, highly popular among fans ever since its release earlier this year, allows unlocking any skin from nearly any existing Battle Pass.

Alongside entirely new accounts, anyone who has not played SMITE in at least a month can benefit from this event in the same way as a new player.
