Moonscars launches for Switch, bug fix coming
Beware the late-game bug
A bit of good news/bad news for those interested in picking up Moonscars. The good news is that Moonscars is indeed now available on Switch. The bad news concerns a bug that the team just recently found out about, and unfortunately it’s included in the launch version of the game. Even worse, this bug pops up late in the game and it can block progression.
Developers Black Mermaid have released a statement about the bug, and have also mentioned that they’re hard at work on a fix. You can see their official statement on the matter below.
“The day has come that you’ll finally get your hands on Moonscars! Unfortunately, an unforeseen critical bug in Moonscars was discovered in our final days of testing leading into launch which will affect some players. The team has identified the issue near the end of the game and is actively working on a fix/patch which will be released to the game as soon as possible. This is not how we wanted to launch the game and we would like to sincerely apologize to anyone who comes across this bug before the patch is released. We will announce the patch as soon as timing is confirmed for each platform. Thank you for your patience and continued support of Moonscars.”
If you don’t mind grabbing Moonscars now and waiting for the bug patch, you can pick it up for $20. Hopefully you’ll be able to enjoy the experience without the late-game bug hitting you. If it does end up blocking your progress, just hang in there for the patch. We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as it’s live.
